Health & Safety Policy

Our Safety, Health & Welfare Statement has been prepared and updated in accordance with the Safety, Health & Welfare at Work Act 2005. It sets out the various responsibilities of Management, Employees and Sub-contractors in the first section, and the Arrangements made for the implementation of Safety in the second section.

A copy of this Safety Statement is distributed to all managers and designated Supervisors. It will be held wherever the Company is carrying out work and will be available to all employees, sub-contractors, visitors and Clients.

Blanchfield Mechanical Maintenance Ltd. recognises the responsibilities placed on it by safety legislation and accepts that the safety, health and welfare of its employees and those affected by their work must be given priority.

It is our policy to comply with the Safety, Health and Welfare at Work Act 2005, the Safety, Health and Welfare at Work (General Application) Regulations 2015 , and the Safety, Health and Welfare at Work (Construction) Regulations 2013. We accept that Health and Safety is a management responsibility and holds equal importance to production and quality.

The Company will take all reasonable practicable steps to ensure that safe systems of work are devised and implemented by all personnel and that all works, structures, plant and equipment are safely constructed, maintained and managed at all times.

It is the policy of this Company to provide sufficient information, training and supervision to its workforce in pursuance of these objectives and to do everything reasonably practicable to ensure its Sub-Contractors provide similar arrangements.

It is our aim to continuously improve our performance as regards Safety, Health & Welfare in the Workplace.

This safety policy and the way in which it is implemented will be reviewed in the light of new legislation.
